Concerns That Respite Care Services Still Not Fully Restored In Clare

Concern has been raised in West Clare that adult disability day and respite services have still not been restored to pre-pandemic levels.

A meeting of the HSE’s Regional Health Forum West heard this week that some services in the county have now fully resumed, with others operating at 70 to 85 percent capacity.

Milltown Malbay-based representative Susan Crawford says she’s aware of families who have had home care hours cut and are having to foot the bill for private care.
