Concern Raised About ‘Injecting In Broad Daylight’ & Public Urination On Ennis Lane

Concerns have been raised about people allegedly ‘injecting in broad daylight’ and publicly urinating on an Ennis laneway.

Representatives of the Ennis Municipal District have heard how residents of Dalcassian Park and the Upper Turnpike Road have signed petitions calling for the closure of the laneway to the right of the road.

It’s believed anti-social behaviour on the lane has been escalating since February and is alleged to on occasion have involved residents of the Laurel Lodge hostel.

Newly elected Mayor of Ennis and Fianna Fail Councillor Clare Colleran Molloy says action at local authority level is now needed.
