Ennis Scout Club members from down through the years are being asked to come out in force today to bid farewell to the historic scouts hall.

The hall, on Station Road in Ennis, has served as the county town branch headquarters since 1932 but now is set to be demolished to make way for a new, state-of-the-art clubhouse for the scouts.

A special event is taking place at the old hall today, before the walls are torn down, to mark its almost 90-year history.
