A Clare community is said to deeply saddened, following the death of an Ennis resident in tragic accident at Ballyalla lake.
49-year-old Samir Kaul, who’s originally from India, but has been living in the town, died after getting into difficulty while diving at the Old Pier on Saturday night.
It’s understood a number of young men managed to bring him ashore, while the local lifeguard also assisted, with Gardaí, the National Ambulance Service and Irish Coast Guard all alerted.
