HIQA Closely Monitoring Overcrowding At University Hospital Limerick Says Junior Health Minister

A Junior Health Minister has confirmed that HIQA has been closely monitoring the overcrowding situation at University Hospital Limerick in recent weeks.

The region’s main hospital has seen record levels of overcrowding over the past month with trolley numbers peaking at 111 on one day.

Today the Dooradoyle facility remains the busiest in the country, with 75 people on trolleys, according to the latest INMO figures.
