Clare’s Chief Fire Officer is urging people to change their mindset now that the storm season is well underway.
Met Eireann lifted their weather alert for Clare early this morning, after the county escaped the worst of the storm overnight.
Clare County Council is advising that the Cliffs of Moher visitor centre has opened and flights are operating on schedule at Shannon Airport
Dangers remain, however.
The Council also says high seas are leading to dangerous conditions along the Clare coastline this lunchtime, especially in exposed locations.
Clare’s Chief Fire Officer, Adrian Kelly says the dangers of this type of weather should be at the back of every driver’s minds over the coming months.
