Clare’s Crime Prevention Officer is urging everyone to stay safe and sensible this Halloween.
With preparations for festivities well under way across the county, Sergeant Catriona Holohan is reminding people that fireworks are illegal without a licence and can cause serious injuries.
She’s also advising parents and guardians to accompany children when trick-or-treating, ensure they remain visible to road users, and respect those who do not wish to take part in Halloween activities.
Sergeant Holohan, who’s based at the Crime Prevention Office in Ennis is also urging anyone who spots illegal waste collection or dangerous bonfires, to contact the Clare County Council Waste Enforcement Team on 065 6846331.
