The number of people claiming unemployment benefit in Clare has fallen for the third month in a row.
The latest live register shows well below 4,000 people in this county are currently claiming some form of social welfare.
There were approximately 3,834 Clare people on the Live Register at the end of February, which is the lowest figure on record for the month.
Ennis once again saw the lion’s share of presentations, with just below 2,000 presenting to the office in the county town.
Ennistymon was the next busiest location in the county, with 759 people claiming there, marking a 5% drop on the previous month.
Tulla also saw a marginal drop , with just 448 claiming benefits, while Kilrush’s number reduced to 672.
Additionally for the 33rd month in a row, there were fewer than 500 people under the age of 25 claiming unemployment benefit in Clare.
