A Clare travel counsellor says an Irish airline is simply “catching up with reality” by introducing a new change to its travel document requirements.
From February 25th, Aer Lingus passengers will require a valid passport or passport card when travelling between Ireland and the UK.

Up to now, flyers have been able to use other IDs such as driver’s license at check-in and boarding for journeys like these.
Ennis-based travel counsellor Gearoid Mannion says it’s the norm across the majority of airlines.
