A Clare teacher claims pressing ahead with proposed reforms to the Leaving Cert will undermine the entire examination process.
It comes as the Ombudsman for Children has warned against pausing the roll-out of changes which include the introduction of Additional Assessment Components for each subject, worth 40%.

Major concerns centre around the use of generative AI such as ChatGPT, which have the potential to complete such assessments in a matter of minutes.
Clare ASTI spokesperson and Science teacher at St.Flannan’s College Ennis, John Conneely, says the proposed reforms leaves the door open to manipulation and cheating.
