Clare TD Disgust At ‘New Low’ In McAreavy Murder Case

A Clare TD has called on the Ireland’s Ambassador to Mauritius to convey the disgust felt by the Irish people to the government there following the publication of photos of the Michaela McAreavey murder scene.

Fine Gael Deputy Pat Breen, who’s the Chairman of the Oireachtas Committee on Foreign Affiars, said the issue will also be discussed by his group tomorrow, following what he described as a "new low" in the treatment of the McAreavey and Harte families.

Deputy Breen says questions must be answered about how crime scene photographs came to be published, and he says action is needed from the authorities in Mauritius before their international reputation is further damaged
