A Clare Independent TD has called for a statutory inquiry into the death of Caitríona Lucas, following what he’s described as a “state cover-up”.

An inquest into the tragic death of the Doolin Coast Guard volunteer returned a verdict of misadventure last week, with the jury issuing seven recommendations relating to equipment, safety and training.
