Clare’s Sinn Féin TD has accused the Government of misleading parents over its announcement of a 550-euro cap on monthly childcare costs from next September.
Donna McGettigan says the budget announcement has caused confusion among parents, with many still unsure whether they will benefit from the proposed reduction.

The Shannon-based representative believes the Government has failed to clarify how many families will qualify for the cap, particularly those using childcare providers outside the Core Funding scheme.
Deputy McGettigan says the Government must immediately clarify its plans to reduce childcare costs and explain which families will benefit.
