Slight Increase In Round One CAO Offers In Clare

There’s been a slight increase in the number of round one CAO offers issued to Clare students this year.

1,527 young men and women around the county have received an offer in the past few minutes, a rise of 43 on last year’s numbers.

Across the country, half of students who were offered a Level 8 college place today received their first preference course, while 79 per cent were offered one of their top 3.

A number of courses in medicine and business have risen to over 600 points, due to grade inflation and a high number of CAO applicants.
