CLARE SNOOKER FANATICS AIM FOR WORLD RECORD

Two Clare snooker players are into the home straight of an 80 hour world-record challenge in aid of Sláinte an Chlair. 

Gordon O'Loughlin and Kieran Ferns began their attempt at a Guinness world record game at 8 am on Friday morning and have been at the table ever since, with the exception of some brief breaks.

The record-breaking challenge is being closely monitored, and speaking earlier, Gerard O’Loughlin of the Ennis Snooker and Pool Club says it's been a difficult couple of days for all involved.
