Clare schools have been commended for their environmental efforts with the awarding of 20 green flags.
Seven primary schools recevied their first Green Flag this week- namely Caherea, Lahinch and Quilty along with the Convent Primary School in Killaloe; St. Senan’s Primary School and Gaelscoil Ui Choimin in Kilrush; and Scoil Mhuire in Corofin.
A further 13 schools renewed their Green Flag including national schools in Ballyvaughan, Carrigaholt, Cross, Shragh, Kilshanny, Knockanean, Knockerra, Parteen, Tulla, St John’s in Cratloe, Killaloe Boys National school, St. Tola’s in Shannon, as well as Scariff Community College
