Clare INTO Representative Says ‘Small Step’ Being Taken As Antigen Testing Begins In Schools

Clare’s INTO representative believes today’s beginning of antigen tests being made available in schools is a ‘small step’ in curbing COVID-19 rates in children.

Parents will receive the tests where another child in their pod is Covid positive or if there has been two or more cases in a class within a week.

Pupils between third and sixth class are being advised to wear masks in the classroom by NPHET, with an effective grounding of children recommended for the next fortnight to curb transmission.
