Clare Rep Says Contingencies In Place As Ambulance Strike Still Possible

A Clare-based Irish Ambulance Representative Council representative is reassuring that contingency plans will be in place in the event of strike action next week.

Unions representing more than two thousand ambulance workers, paramedics and EMTs are meeting HSE officials at the Labour Court again today, after negotiations resumed on Monday.

The unions are seeking revised pay scales to reflect increased training and responsibilities within the service.

Midwest IARC representative and Clooney-Quin native, Orla Considine says a 72-hour strike next week remains possible if no agreement is reached.
