Clare is one of two counties which has seen a year-on-year reduction in rents.
The Residential Tenancies Board says standardised average rents here now stand at 728 euro, down marginally on the year before.
The figures suggest that COVID-19 has impacted on rental prices, meanwhile, as rents fell by 12 euro when compared with the first quarter.

The report also shows a significant variation in rents throughout Clare, ranging from an average of 807 euro in the Shannon electoral area to 734 euro in Ennis.
