Clare residents are being praised for their green initiatives, after using free recycling events to clear out their homes in an environmentally friendly manner.
Free recycling events held last weekend in Sixmilebridge, Ballyvaughan and Kilfenora saw over 150 people dispose of their waste in a responsible fashion.

In total, over 11 tonnes of electrical waste was recycled at the ERP recycling events, the equivalent weight of over 7 football teams.
Those who were unable to make it to the events can recycle their household electrical waste for free at The Central Waste Management Recycling Facility at Inagh or at the local amenity sites in Shannon, Scarrif, Ennis and Kilkee.
