A Clare rape survivor is spearheading an event to raise vital funds for a Midwest-based charity.
Ennis resident Martin Vernon is participating in a sponsored kayaking event on the River Shannon Saturday August 22nd for Rape Crisis Midwest.

Ireland’s recorded sexual violence rate is 43% above the EU average.
Martin says the charity is a cause worth supporting.
