A Clare poet travelling with a Gaza-bound flotilla claims her follow passengers are lucky to be alive following two alleged drone strikes in 48 hours.
Former Ballyvaughan resident Sarah Clancy is among a group from 44 countries aboard the Global Sumud Flotilla which is attempting to break the Israeli naval blockade to deliver humanitarian aid to the famine stricken Palestinian territory.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, the flotilla posted videos depicting two separate incidents involving blazes erupting on its boats after luminous objects struck the deck, and it’s claiming these were drone strikes.
Tunisian authorities have denied the incidents took place but Sarah says the evidence is plain to see and that the attacks were “not a warning”.
