A Clare playground has been given almost €20,000 for refurbishment works.
The Department of Children, Disability and Equality has announced funding of €600,000 for 30 local authorities under the Capital Grant Scheme for Play and Recreation.

Among the beneficiaries is the playground in Tim Smythe Park in Ennis which has been awarded €18,685.
It’s understood the funds will go towards basic improvement works as well as a number of health and safety measures.
