Clare people who are awaiting their second dose of the Astrazeneca vaccine will have an opportunity to receive their jab in Limerick this weekend.
A number of people with underlying health conditions and those between 60 and 69 had received the dose, with the wait time for a second inoculation having been cut from 12 weeks to 4.
A special vaccination clinic will be open at Limerick Racecourse between 9am and 12 noon on Saturday, and will only be open to those who have received a first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine at any hospital or vaccination centre in the Mid-West.
People interested in attending are being advised to contact the HSE’s approved helpline number on 087 9681240 between 9am and 6pm daily to confirm they will be availing of the facility.
