Clare Parents Urged To Make Their Voices Heard On Disability Services

Clare parents are being urged to weigh in on their experience with the Children’s Disability Network Team.

Inch resident Michelle Ryan has two children, aged 10 and 12, who have been diagnosed with autism and have received CDNT supports for speech and language difficulties.

She claims it was more difficult to get her youngest child diagnosed and has also raised concerns over the lack of recognition of Gestalt language processing by the CDNT teams.

The National Disability Authority has recently reopened a survey on views and experiences of the service model, and Michelle says it’s vital those with varying family circumstances make their voices heard.
