Clare Motorists Warned Of Difficult Driving Conditions Over Storm Abigail

Gardaí are advising motorists in Clare of difficult driving conditions as Storm Abigail sweeps the country.

The low-level yellow weather alert will remain in place until at least 9 o'clock tonight with winds expected to reach 90 kilometres per hour in some parts.

Gardaí are warning drivers, particularly around Lisseycasey, to drive with care, following hail showers this morning.

Yesterday some flights leaving Dublin airport were cancelled, with a number of flights diverted to Shannon as a result of the strong winds and some ferries were also affected.
