Clare Man Returning On Aid Mission To Ukraine Claims Natives Feel Their Plight Is Being Forgotten

A Clare man preparing for a humanitarian aid mission to Ukraine claims natives feel as though their plight is being forgotten due to the turbulent news cycle.

Three vehicles donated from Clare will form part of a 16 strong team embarking on a 2,800km trip to donate 4x4s and ambulances to conflict zones within the war torn country.

It’s the ninth convoy organised by Irish group ‘Stockhouse 4×4’s for Ukraine’, and will bring the total number of vehicles donated to over 100 alongside the delivery of food and vital medical supplies to the front line.

Speaking on Clare FM’s Morning Focus, Ennis native Keir McNamara, who also travelled on a previous expedition last November, says the trip is particularly symbolic given the strong Ukrainian presence in the county.
