It’s a drop of just 10 on October’s number, though it’s a drop of nearly 400 compared to two years ago.

A further 736 people signed on in Ennistymon at the end of last month, 682 did so and Kilrush and 525 people formed queues in Tulla.

It means North Clare’s claimants have risen by around 15 percent in the last month alone, with a 3 percent rise in Kilrush.

Tulla saw a slight drop in numbers since October.

In total, there were over 1,000 people fewer on the Register in November compared to the same month in 2020, when 4,926 people made up the numbers.

A further 7,513 people in this county were availing of the PUP at that time, with those numbers having now reduced by around 80 percent.
