The Chair of Clare’s Local Community Safety Partnership has pledged to push for greater Garda resources in this county.
It comes as new data has revealed Clare’s Garda complement is at its highest level in two years, with 302 members now serving here.

The figure is 11% below 2009’s level, which was prior to the closure of stations in Quin, Inagh, Lahinch, Broadford, Mountshannon, Doonbeg and Lissycasey.
Clare LCSP Chair and former Councillor PJ Ryan believes this had a severe impact on local policing.
