Clare IFA Chair Calls On Minister For Agriculture To “Step Up Or Step Aside”

The Chairperson of the Irish Farmers Association in Clare has called on the Minister for Agriculture to “step up or step aside” amid mounting frustration within the organisation.

The IFA is protesting at the Fianna Fáil think-in at the Horse and Jockey Hotel in Tipperary today and also plans to protest at the Fine Gael think-in in Limerick.

The Tánaiste Micheál Martin and Agriculture Minister Charlie McConalogue have met with IFA leadership this morning to discuss the controversial cut in the nitrates limit as well as the Minister’s plan to delay payments for farmers in 2023.
