166 Clare premises are to be provided with broadband access, after their applications under the rural broadband scheme were accepted.
The program has been established by the Department of Communications to help provide broadband to rural areas who cannot otherwise gain access.

It comes as Clare County Council is set to ask Minister Pat Rabbite why large areas of the county are still unable to gain high-speed access to the internet.
Kildysart Councillor Oliver Garry says it’s vital that all parts of County Clare get connected as soon as possible.
