A Clare based health campaigner says “real leadership” is needed after the number of patients in hospitals with Covid-19 doubled over the past three weeks.
More than 1,600 people diagnosed with the virus are in facilities across the country as of last night, including 91 at University Hospital Limerick.

Quin man, John Wall, who is living with stage 4 prostate cancer, believes hospitals are under huge strain and are “begging” for help but are not being listened to.
He says public health advice won’t be enough and further measures may be needed.
