Clare Haven is expecting an increase in calls to the service over the Christmas period.
The support service says the festive season can be an extremely stressful period for those experiencing domestic abuse, due to added financial pressures alongside existing issues.

Domestic violence services operate 365 days a year, and as such, will be available over the holidays.
Acting Manager of Services at Clare Haven, Brenda Breathnach says just because its Christmas, it doesn’t mean domestic violence stops occurring.
