A Clare haulier claims new hikes in fuel taxes, toll charges and fuel levies mean Ireland now has the most expensive fuel in Europe.
A number of increases kicked in on the 1st of this month, resulting in a rise in the cost of unleaded petrol and diesel.

The Irish Road Haulage Association claims motorists are now paying approximately €5 more to fill a tank of fuel than this time last year and €19 more than five years ago.
Ennis-based former IRHA president Eugene Drennan says many of these increases are needless.
