Clare gets ready to welcome Taoiseach to Loophead lIghthouse

Preparations for the reopening of Loophead Lighthouse are being stepped up as the Taoiseach prepares to do the honours in just over a week’s time,

 
Enda Kenny-who’s grandfather-James Mc Ginley-served as lighthouse keeper- will launch a new exhibition  at the lighthouse on Friday the 18th.

The historic building received over 17,000 visitors in a matter of months last year and its hoped that the visit of the Taoiseach can help further boost visitors to the area.
