Gardaí in Clare are urging motorists to play their part in preventing road deaths this weekend.
The Garda Roads Policing Operation for the June Bank Holiday Weekend commenced on Thursday morning and runs until midnight Tuesday, with checkpoints and patrols in effect nationwide.

Today also marks An Garda Síochána’s Operation Enable which is aimed at discouraging drivers from parking on footpaths and in disabled spaces or bays.
Superintendent in the Clare/Tipperary Garda Division Eddie Golden has been telling Clare FM’s Seán Lyons poor driver behaviour can cause great distress to those with mobility issues.
