Clare Gardaí have seized a vehicle from the same unaccompanied learner driver twice in one afternoon.
During a patrol on the N67 in North Clare, Gardaí stopped a white Honda Fit and subsequently seized it under the Clancy Amendment which permits the immediate seizure of a car being driven by an unaccompanied learner.

It’s understood the motorist was making his return journey after having the car released, when he was apprehended for the same offence just hours later.
The motorist was penalised with fines worth €1,000 and four penalty points.
