A motorist has been arrested in Ennis after failing a road side drug test in addition to several more road traffic offences.
During a Bank Holiday Operation last night, members of Clare’s Road Policing Unit detected a Renault Grand Scenic People Carrier being driven without insurance, tax or NCT, after getting an alert on their Automatic Number Plate Recognition System.

The driver subsequently failed a roadside drug wipe test for Cocaine.
The car was seized and the motorist was arrested and charged.
