Meanwhile, Gardai in Clare have issued a warning to motorists on what’s traditionally one of the busiest weekends on Irish roads.
The Easter break will see thousands of motorists getting behind the wheel, with Gardai concentrating on the so called life saving offences of speeding, drink driving, seat belt and mobile phone use.
Gardaí will also be using new drug testing equipment in an effort to stamp out drug driving offences.
