Clare FM has secured five nominations for the most prestigious awards in Irish Radio.
The highly anticipated shortlist for the IMRO Radio Awards has been announced today, following an unprecedented number of entries.
The IMRO Radio Awards is a celebration of the outstanding achievements and contributions of individuals and stations to the Irish radio landscape.
Often dubbed the Oscars of Irish radio, it acknowledges the power of radio to inform, entertain, and connect communities across the nation.
This year, Clare FM’s flagship current affairs show Morning Focus has been nominated in the Local/Regional Current Affairs Programme category, while presenter Alan Morrissey has been shortlisted in the Local/Regional Speech Broadcaster of the Year category.
“Live At Glór”, presented by Sports Editor Derrick Lynch and Commetator Syl O’Connor, has been nominated in the Local/Regional Sports Programme category.
“What’s Becoming of Me”, a radio documentary sharing the relentless daily battle faced by those living with dementia, which was produced by Clare FM’s Programme Director Padraic Flaherty has been nominated in the Radio Moment of the Year category.
Clare FM is also in the running for Local Station of the Year.
The winners will be announced at a glittering ceremony at the Lyrath Estate Hotel in Kilkenny on October 3rd.
