Clare appears to have escaped serious damage overnight during Storm Dylan.
Met Éireann’s Status Orange wind warning ended at 6 o’clock this morning, after a night of gusts of up to 100km/ph in places.
A fallen tree had caused a the Ennistymon to Drinagh road at Monreal North to be impassable for a time this morning though that has since been cleared.
There have been no other major reports of any roads issues.
Western counties bore the brunt of the storm – with up to 6,700 customers without power overnight, particularly in Galway, Sligo and Donegal.
There are 42 households in the Ennistymon area without power today – that’s expected to be restored by 2pm.
