Clare County Council says a prohibition notice put in place in Kilkee over the weekend could be lifted tomorrow.
The beach was closed to swimmers on the advice of the HSE, following a malfunction of Irish Water’s sewage infrastructure in the area.
Water samples were taken yesterday, the results of which will be available tomorrow morning.

The local authority has indicated that depending on the analysis of the results and advice from the HSE, it may be possible to remove the prohibition notice at that point.
