Clare Councillors have signed off on a new County Development Plan.

The document will take effect between now and 2029, and outlines how the local authority can use particular areas and lands, such as for residential or industrial use.

The strategy, which contained amendments from its original outline relating to wastewater infrastructure and rules around mining among others, has been unanimously passed by elected representatives at a special meeting at Áras Contae an Chláir this evening.
