Clare Communities Urged To Set Up Crime Text Alerts

Communities across Clare are being urged to set up text alert schemes to prevent crimes.

Uptake is low here – there are 28 schemes around the county, with just over 5,000 subscribers.

Nationally, there are over 191,000 people signed up to these alerts and Gardaí say demand has more than doubled in just three years.
