Clare Care Provider ‘Excited’ By Move To Enshrine Right To Home Care In Law

A Clare care provider has described a government move to enshrine the right to home care in the law as an exciting prospect.

A new government-backed scheme will give people assessed as ‘in need of support’ a statutory right to a minimum level of care hours to remain at home.

It won’t be in place for up to three years and has led to some concern that elderly people will be forced to make a payment towards their home help for the first time.
