A Clare dog trainer and behaviourist is warning that social media and gaming companies are using the same psychological techniques as dog trainers – only with far more harmful consequences.
Ennis-based Deirdre Ryan has been working in animal behaviour for 22 years and has developed a school workshop to highlight that the same reward based training used to teach dogs is also being used to keep children on their screens.

According to a post pandemic EU wide study, the majority of Irish children are spending over four hours on digital devices every day.
