Clare-Based Care Chief Warns ‘Whole Health System’ Could Collapse Without More Carers

The Clare-based CEO of the National Community Care Network is warning ‘the whole system could collapse’ this winter without the addition of more carers.

It comes amid fresh frustration that many carers outside of the HSE have not yet received the €1,000 pandemic bonus payment.

Nurses expressed concern earlier this week that the hospital system may not be able to cope with the pressures of twin Covid and flu outbreaks this winter.
