Clare Auctioneer Warns Caution Needed On Short Term Let Proposals

A Clare Auctioneer says it’s vital that any new regulations on short term letting are implemented with caution.

Government proposals that would require hosts to apply for special planning permission have hit a further stumbling block this week, as the European Commission is seeking further consideration on the legislation.

There are over 1,500 short term lets in Clare available for booking today on Airbnb, while there are just seventeen homes available in the county rent.
