Clare’s Fianna Fáil TD believes that a new Government scheme targeting households that are wasting water will have a positive impact.
The government’s reportedly considering a new scheme which would see people given a warning about wasting water and given a year to reduce their usage.
Anyone who doesn’t heed the warning could face fines of up to 280 euro.
