The long awaited report has found that the UK invaded the country before peaceful options were exhausted, however author Sir John Chilcott has not expressed a view on whether or not the war was legal.
Shannon is currently used as a stop-over point for US military personnel, who also took part in the Iraq conflict.
Sinn Fein MEP Lynn Boylan says today's findings mean this arrangement must now cease.
